Privacy
Nothing to track
Nectary has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. We don’t know who you are, and we don’t want to.
What stays on your device
Your puzzle progress, scores, streaks and stats, your chess games, and your settings (night or day theme, sound, bee or classic chess pieces) are saved in your own browser’s storage. They never leave your device and we never see them. That’s also why your progress doesn’t follow you to another phone or browser.
To erase it all, clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings. Nectary doesn’t use cookies.
What we don’t do
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
- No advertising, and no selling or sharing of anyone’s data.
- No accounts, sign ins or email lists.
- No outside requests while you play: fonts, puzzles, definitions and even the chess engine all come from nectary.buzz itself.
Hosting
Nectary is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short lived server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run the service and protect it from abuse. We don’t use those logs to follow anyone around.
Donations and tips
The charity links on our support page take you to each charity’s own website, where their privacy policy applies. Crypto tips go directly between your wallet and ours on a public blockchain; Nectary never sees or stores any payment details.
If this ever changes, this page will say so first. Questions? See About.
